Cork Mosaic is installed very similar as to typical ceramic or mosaic tiles, glue then grout method. Please note the existing substrate should be clean, including the complete removal of vinyl tiles, old adhesives, loose or weak concrete, dirt, debris, and any other contaminant that may impact the bonding of the Cork Mosaic.
| Step 1:
Evenly spread Jelinek Cork adhesive across the prepared substrate, again the substrate should be a clean surface, free from any debris.
|
| Step 2: Carefully place each Cork Mosaic sheet next to one another. Cork Mosaic can be cut and shaped with a sharp utility knife. If staining the tiles please do so now. Apply one coat of polyurethane to the tiles.
|
| Step 3: Evenly distribute an unsanded grout product with a high quality rubber trowel, making certain that all joints are being completely filled. The finished joints should be uniformly smoth, without any voids or low spots.
|
| Step 4: Finish the installation of the Cork Mosaic by applying an even amount of polyurethane.

Some color variation may occur among individual tiles due to the natural qualities of
cork. The color of the tile can also be altered depending on the type of finish applied. |
